Flat Katie has disappeared!

While the Not So Flat Katie has been dashing around in her new coupe Flat Katie seems to have gone into hiding.

HBCC's best Children's Week Picnic created by thirteen different council departments and ten organisations working together.

Flat Katie had a wonderful time with Jenelle at the Children's Week Picnic. Katie along with around 800 of her closest friends danced along with the Police Band, palyed with in the animal nursery, . Wockin' Wosemary wowed the crowed with her dancing. Songbird Jenelle and the HB Choir sang the libraries number one hit "Make your first card a library card"
Katie received a big kiss from the Bendigo Piggy (aka T!). After all her running around Katie settled for an apple and a cup of tea from Pam Godley.
If you missed this years - don't stress - have one of Katies Divine Mug Cakes and call me to put your name down for next year. Wednesday 21st of October 10am to 1pm.

FLAT KATIE'S DIVINE 5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

Not so flat if you make too many!

Happy cooking - even for those that usually don't

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips
a small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again. Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts (high). The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous - yeah yeah - talk to the hand).

Flat Katie yeah yeah she's out there

Hi Everyone

Get out the tissues as it is time to send Flat Katie on a tour of Libraryland. Katie will be reporting back on all the exciting things happening in the world of libraries.

Katie's first stops are the Bath Library in England, Darwin City Library and Hobsons Bay's Childrens Week picnic.

Don't forget to say hi to Flat Katie if she drops in to see you and tell her some of the fun, exciting and inovative things happening at your library.

The aim of the Webolution program is to facilitate creativity, information sharing, collaboration and user participation. The Webolution Learning 2.0 program is loosely based upon the State Library Web 2.0 program that was rolled out in 2006. The aim of Flat Katie is to discover what is fun, new and exciting events, technology and spaced in libraryland. Flat Katie is loosely based on Flat Stanley who made an around the world tour - via the postal service - from July 2000 to May 2001.Flat Stanley stayed for Christmas lunch and visited the Melbourne Zoo before jetting off to Sweden.
